Privacy Policy


This privacy policy applies to the MapOO app (hereby referred to as "Application") for mobile devices that was created by Kaya Sato (hereby referred to as "Service Provider") as a Free service. This service is intended for use "AS IS".


Information Collection and Use


The Application is designed with privacy in mind. It does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information.

Location Information: The Application requests access to your device's location solely to display distance circles centered on your current position on the map. Location data is processed entirely on your device, is used only while you are using the Application, and is never stored permanently, transmitted to external servers, or shared with any third parties. You can use the core features of the Application without granting location access.

Locally Stored Data: The following data is stored only on your device and never leaves it:

  • Saved distance presets (names and coordinates of the locations you register)
  • Search history of locations you have looked up
  • The last map position, used to restore the view when you reopen the Application

This data can be removed at any time by deleting the relevant entries within the Application or by uninstalling the Application.

No Automatic Data Collection: The Application does not collect your IP address, device identifiers, usage analytics, or any other information automatically. The Application contains no advertising, no analytics tools, and no third-party tracking of any kind.

Map Services: The Application uses Apple Maps (MapKit) to display maps and search for locations. When you view maps or search for places, your requests are handled by Apple in accordance with the Apple Privacy Policy. The Service Provider does not receive or have access to any of this data.


Third Party Access

Since the Service Provider does not collect any data, no data is shared with third parties. The Service Provider has no data to disclose even if required by law.


Opt-Out Rights

You can stop all use of locally stored data by the Application easily by uninstalling it. You may use the standard uninstall processes as may be available as part of your mobile device or via the mobile application marketplace or network. Uninstalling the Application removes all locally stored data described above.


Children's Privacy

The Application does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. The Application is safe for use by all ages.


Security

The Service Provider is concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. Because all data remains on your device and is never transmitted, your information is protected by your device's built-in security measures. The Service Provider recommends keeping your device's operating system up to date.


Changes

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. The Service Provider will notify you of any changes to the Privacy Policy by updating this page with the new Privacy Policy. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes, as continued use is deemed approval of all changes.
